Merchant Platform Introduction

Merchant Manage Console (MMC) is the business management backend provided by PayerMax to merchants. Merchants can log in to MMC to open multi-currency accounts, global acquiring and international payments in one stop, helping merchants to make global payments and simplify financial operations.

1. Functional Module Overview

The MMC mainly includes the following modules:

  • Account(Multi-currency fund management): Help merchants check the fund status of their currency accounts on the PayerMax platform;

  • Payment: Centralized management of transaction orders for acquiring services;

  • Local Bank Collection: Merchants can initiate the creation of local bank payment accounts through Local Bank Collection;

  • Disbursement: Merchants can initiate single payments and batch payments through Disbursement;

  • Rate: Check the real-time exchange rate;

  • Risk: It can automatically intercept payment elements that merchants consider to be high-risk;

  • Chargeback: Centralized query, disposal, and tracking of dispute records;

  • Settlement: Query and verify the amounts to be settled and settled in acquiring transactions;

  • Report: Download transaction bills and fund bills;

  • Settings: Check the merchant’s basic information, settlement bank account information, contract information, etc.

2. Introduction to Function Modules

2.1 Account (Multi-Currency Fund Management)

The account module mainly helps merchants to check the status of their multi-currency accounts on the PayerMax platform, and at the same time, they can top-up/transfer/withdrawal/conversion of funds operations on their accounts.

The functions under this module include: Top Up, Transfers, Conversions, Withdrawals, Account Turnover, Daily Amount

Top UpMerchants can top up their currency accounts for subsequent payment operations
TransfersUsed for transferring available balance between different merchants under the same company entity, supports cross-currency transfer and original currency transfer
WithdrawalsMerchants can withdraw their available balance to their bank account by withdrawing funds, and will be notified of the withdrawal result by email
ConversionsIt is used to exchange the available balance between different currencies of the merchant (currently only one of the currencies is supported in USD). Merchants will be notified by email of the exchange result
Account TurnoverView a breakdown of account movements for income and expenditure by currency account
Daily AmountView the beginning and end balances of your account

There are three types of client accounts:

  • To Be Settled Account: The amount of a collection transaction after deduction of fees, taxes and charges. It requires a full settlement cycle before it can be settled;

  • Disbursement Account:Funds obtained from merchant top-ups or collection-to-top-ups, which are exclusively required for disbursement purposes;

  • Settled Payment Account:The settlement cycle has expired and the funds have been transferred from the to be settled account to the settled payment account.

2.2 Payment

Merchants can use Payment to centrally manage orders for acquiring services, view order details, process user-initiated refund requests and view refund records.

The functions under this module include: Order Search, Refund Search and Refund Approval

  • Order Search: PayerMax supports three ways to view order status:

  • Refund Search: It is used for merchants to check the corresponding refund orders. The conditions to be met for refund orders are listed below:

    • Only orders that have been successfully paid for can initiate a refund;

    • Orders that are already in the process of being refunded cannot initiate a refund again;

    • Orders that has already been successfully refunded cannot be re-initiated for a refund;

    • Refunds can be initiated within 180 days after the order has been successfully paid for;

    • Please ensure that the account balance is sufficient to cover the refund;

    • Please ensure that the account balance is sufficient to cover the refund. Please check whether the initiator has the authority to request a refund. If you wish to initiate a refund even though the refund conditions have not been met, it is recommended that you use PayerMax's payment service for the refund. For more information, please contact service@payermax.com.

  • Refund Approval: The Refund Approval function is used in scenarios where a refund request is initiated and needs to be reviewed by another person in your company, so please check whether you have enabled the Refund Approval function first.

    • If you have not opened, by default, after the launch of the refund application, no need to approve, you can perform the refund processing, if you need to open, please contact your administrator to log in to the merchant platform into the SettingsMenu management page to add the internal approval function;

    • If it is already enabled, please contact your administrator or another operator with administrative privileges to add the privileges for you. For more information, please refer to How to open Refund Approval process.

2.3 Local Bank Collection

Merchants can initiate the creation of local bank collection accounts through the Local Bank Collection, and at the same time, view the information of the collection accounts that have been created by merchants in the platform as well as the order records of collection.

The functions under this module include: Account Summary and Transaction Summary

  • Account Summary: This page allows merchants to create their own required payment accounts;

  • Transaction Summary: This page supports querying all merchant accounts and all transaction information of actual payment received.

2.4 Disbursement

Merchants can initiate single and batch payments through Disbursement, view payment records, and manage payee account information. Currently supported payment methods: API, Single Disbursement, Batch Disbursement.

The functions under this module include: Payment and Payment Approval.

  • Payment: Including Single Payment Query, Batch Payment Query and Beneficiary Management.

    • Single/Batch Payment Query: You can export order details and view the transaction exchange rate on this page;

    • Beneficiary Management: This page is used to view the details of the receiving account and directly create a receiving account.

  • Payment Approval: You need to confirm whether your company has enabled the payment approval function. If not, please contact your company administrator to log in to the merchant platform and enter the SettingsMenu management page to add the internal approval function; if it has been enabled, please contact your company administrator or other operators with management rights to add permissions for you. 2.5 Rate

Merchants can check the real-time exchange rate through Rate.

2.6 Risk

Merchants can use Riskto automatically intercept payment factors that they deem to be high-risk, and relax risk control strategies for trusted payment users and payers of local bank collection to increase payment success rates or account entry timeliness.

The functions under this module include: Merchant blacklist management, Acquiring whitelist management and Local Bank Collection List.

  • Acquiring whitelist management: The whitelist is only valid for card acquisition transactions in non-Latin American countries such as the Middle East, Europe, America, and Southeast Asia, and the privilege is limited to designated users to reduce financial risks;

  • Merchant blacklist management: This function is mainly convenient for merchants to find some users or card information with problems such as theft and fraud in business transactions, and can prevent such fraud from happening again by manually blacklisting;

  • Local Bank Collection List: This function is provided for merchants to configure the whitelist for the payer of their own collection business.

2.7 Chargeback

Merchants can use Chargeback to centrally query, handle and track dispute records, and can also conduct periodic data distribution queries, etc.

The functions under this module include: Chargeback Search and Chargeback Alert Search.

  • Chargeback Search: This function can help customers view the overview of disputed orders within a specified range and upload various materials required for dispute adjudication;

  • Chargeback Alert: Chargeback Alert is a pre-chargeback notification solution provided by PayerMax. It offers a short-term window for chargeback resolution before the refund process begins, aiming to help merchants proactively resolve issues before customer problems escalate into Chargebacks.

Note:

  1. RDR applies to: VISA cards;
  2. Ethoca applies to: All card groups;
  3. After signing up for the chargeback alert function, there will be a registration period of 7-10 working days . Before it officially takes effect, chargeback orders will still appear as normal.

2.8 Settlement

Merchants can use Settlement to query and verify the amounts to be settled and the amounts already settled in acquiring transactions.

The functions under this module include: Settlement Order.

  • Settlement Order: This page mainly provides settlement data query for merchants. PayerMax will combine the transaction orders within a certain period into a settlement statement according to the settlement period configured in the contract, and use the settlement statement as the voucher for the settlement of funds to the account balance. (The settlement statement export details will export two files: settlement_sum and settlement_detail)

Two settlement methods are supported: Settled according to balance or Settled according to settlement report.

2.9 Report

Merchants can download transaction bills and fund bills through Report, and can also set custom bill headers to meet personalized reconciliation needs.

The functions under this module include: Report Download and Bill Settings

  • Report Download: This page supports users to download the corresponding Transaction Report, Settlement Report, and Funds Detail Report;

  • Bill Settings: This page supports user-defined bills, including timing, header settings, and bill notification settings.

2.10 Settings

Merchants can use Settings to view basic merchant information, settlement bank account information, contract information, and contact information. They can also query the availability of payment methods, configure and manage the keys and callback addresses required for system integration, and subscribe to email notifications of special node results.

The functions under this module include: Profile, Payment Method Availability, Config and Notification Management

  • Profile: This module mainly displays the merchant's basic information, settlement bank account information, contract-related information, etc.

  • Payment Method Availability:This module displays the products/services purchased by the merchant, the currencies in which the products are enabled, and the availability of payment methods in the corresponding currencies;

  • Config: This module is mainly used by developers to configure various keys and callback addresses for the test environment and formal environment;

  • Notification Management: Used to configure the target mailbox for email notifications of various special nodes.
